- Can I host Opendesk on my servers?
Yes. Opendesk can be licensed to be installed and configured for your servers, so as your technical team learns the product they will have access to the source code to make modifications in the future.
- I don't have a data center. Can I still offer Opendesk to my customer base?
Yes. Our hosting partners have secure data center facilities and can host Opendesk to your customer base seamlessly. Your customers will still experience Opendesk as if you were hosting it.
- Do I have to offer all of the applications currently on Opendesk?
Opendesk is a modular offering, designed to allow our clients flexibility when choosing a web-based suite of applications for their customers. You can license the complete suite, or pick and choose only the applications you have identified as most relevant to your market.
- Can you integrate other applications into Opendesk?
We can integrate third-party applications into the Opendesk platform to provide central, convenient access for your customers, depending on the technology. Integration feasibility is a part of our needs-assessment process.
- What are my customization options?
Opendesk's customization options are virtually limitless. Tell us what you want your version of Opendesk to be, and we'll work with you to build it. This includes modifying the look and feel to reflect the design of your website, exclusive branding presence, and the removal or addition of applications configured to suit your market.
- Who owns my customer data?
You do. We provide the technology and are not interested in owning or accessing with your customer's data.
- I want to offer my customers an ad-free environment. Can I do this with Opendesk?
Absolutely. We have a sample banner ad on our demo site, but you are under no obligation to have a banner ad in your version of Opendesk. However, if you do decide to sell ad space in your version of Opendesk, you control the sales and revenue derived from that banner.
- What operating system would my customers need to use Opendesk?
Opendesk works on Mac, Windows and Linux, and can be accessed using Microsoft Explorer 4.7 and higher, or Netscape Communicator 4.06 and higher. There are no other technical requirements or software to install - your customers just register, log in and use it.
